Renée Pichard

Renée Pichard, CPA, became a member of the IPSASB in January 2021. She was nominated by CPA Canada. Renée has more than 27 years of diverse experience in the public and private sectors. She is currently an assistant auditor general at the Office of the Auditor General of Canada, where she is responsible for the financial audit practice.

Previously, Renée spent the first fourteen years of her career at Deloitte and as Director of Corporate Finance for an international telecommunication corporation. Renée was a technical advisor with the IPSASB between 2013 and 2019. She has been contributing to the establishment of auditing and accounting standards in Canada as a member of task forces of the Public Sector Accounting Board (PSAB) and the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (AASB) of CPA Canada. She also represents the Office of the Auditor General of Canada (OAG) at the United Nations Panel of External Auditors and its technical working group.

Mrs. Pichard graduated from the Université du Québec en Outaouais in 1993 and received her accounting designation in 1995.
