Tadashi Umino became Chief Executive of the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (JICPA) in July 2013. He currently serves as a Board Member and the Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Japan Foundation for Accounting Education and Learning (JFAEL). He also sits on the advisory board of the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation.

Mr. Umino has more than 30 years of experience in the banking business. He was Executive Officer of Aozora Bank, Ltd. (formerly the Nippon Credit Bank, Ltd.), in charge of various functions including corporate secretary, internal audit, IT, business administration, and human resources.

Mr. Umino is a Chartered Member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan and a Certified International Investment Analyst. He also holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (US) and a degree in economics from Keio University (Japan).
