Revised COSO ERM Framework Now Open for Comments

Vincent Tophoff | June 15, 2016 |

The Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO) has unveiled an update to its Enterprise Risk Management–Integrated Framework and is seeking public comment of the proposal.

The update, Enterprise Risk Management — Aligning Risk with Strategy and Performance, is designed to help all organizations improve their approach to managing new and existing risks as a way to help create, preserve, sustain, and realize value.

IFAC has actively participated in the COSO Board’s Advisory Council for this update. We encourage all stakeholders to review the draft and provide comments, either by completing an online survey, or by uploading a response letter before September 30.

IFAC will also submit a formal response, which we will publish on the IFAC website after submission. If you have any comments or suggestions for IFAC as we shape our thoughts, please email me ( or comment below.
