Croatian Association of Accountants and Financial Experts
As reported by the Croatian Association of Accountants and Financial Experts (CAAFE), it is an independent professional association uniting on a voluntary basis 35 regional associations and four expert organizations: the Croatian Association of Accounting Experts, the Croatian Association of Auditors, the Croatian Association of Financial Analysts, and the Croatian Association of Assessors. 20,000 accountants, financial professionals, auditors, internal auditors, accounting experts, financial analysts, assessors, and other professional associations are members of these organizations. The CAAFE sees its mission in providing continuous education in the field of accounting and taxation and is achieving this goal by providing trainings, seminars, and workshops for accountancy and tax professionals as well as organizing symposiums on the developments in the field of accounting and taxation. There is no indication that either CAAFE or regional organizations that it unites establish entry, educational, ethical, or other requirements for their members. A degree in accounting continues to be the only requirement for providing bookkeeping and other accounting services.
