Arjuna Herath

Arjuna Herath became a member of the Professional Accountancy Organization (PAO) Development Committee in January 2013. He was nominated by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka).

Mr. Herath is the vice president of CA Sri Lanka and a partner at Ernst & Young in Sri Lanka and has more than two decades of experience as a Chartered Accountant in industry, commerce, and public practice.

During his tenure as a member of Council of CA Sri Lanka, he has been the chairman of several committees, including Continuous Professional Education (CPE), Operations Review, and the IT Committees, as well as serving as faculty for the IT Committee. Additionally, he has served as a member of the Examination, Ethics, Corporate Governance, and Strategic Planning Review Committees. He has also served on many Boards of Directors of public and private companies.

Mr. Herath also serves as the Board director of the Sri Lanka Accounting and Auditing Standards Monitoring Board and South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA).

Mr. Herath is a Fellow of CA Sri Lanka and holds a B.Sc., MA in Financial Economics, and an MBA.
