Gillian Waldbauer has been with the Institut der Wirtschaftsprüfer (Institute of Public Auditors, or IDW) in Germany since 2003 as a technical manager in the department of international affairs, where her work is concentrated on international issues in the fields of auditing, financial reporting, and the public sector. Within the IDW, she provides support to both the accounting and auditing boards in international auditing issues and the public sector committee with respect to its international work.

Ms. Waldbauer is also involved in drafting the IDW’s comment letters on international accounting issues. Her international experience, in addition to her work with the International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board, has included active involvement in the auditing working parties of the Fédération des Experts Comptables Européens and the Global Accountancy Alliance.

She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and has several years of audit experience with a medium-sized firm of professional accountants in London.
