Farrukh Rehman joined the IFAC Professional Accountancy Organization Development & Advisory Group in January 2024. Previously he had served as Technical Advisor on the advisory group. He was nominated to the advisory group by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP).

Mr. Rehman is an elected member of the council of ICAP and served as its Vice President for the term 2017-18. He is currently the Chairman of the Accounting Standards Board, Practicing Members Committee and Sustainability working group. He previously led various ICAP committees, including the auditing, examination, education, financial sector and chartered accountants women committee. He is currently a member of the executive, examination, education and investigation committees of ICAP.

Mr. Rehman is technical advisor to the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) Board and member of SAFA's Accounting Standards Committee. He also represents ICAP at the BRI National Accounting Standards Cooperation Forum.

Mr. Rehman has a bachelor’s of commerce degree from Karachi University in 1991 and became Chartered Accountant in 1996. He became partner in A.F.Ferguson & Co (a member firm of PwC Network of Firms) in 2004 and has extensive experience in audit and assurance services.
