On November 12–13, 2025, accounting leaders from across Latin America gathered in Mexico City, Mexico for IFAC Global Connect: Better Together 2025, part of the ongoing IFAC Connect global event series. The 2025 Connect programming focused on leading transformation in global standards, regional solutions, and fostering dialogue on how international standards can be effectively implemented and adapted to meet regional priorities and unique market realities.
Co‑hosted with the Instituto Mexicano de Contadores Públicos (IMCP), the LATAM gathering convened professional accountancy organizations, regulators, standard setters, investors, firm leaders, and other key stakeholders for two days of discussion on strengthening global reporting consistency, enhancing regulatory frameworks, and understanding the impact of AI and emerging technologies on the profession. The event also highlighted the importance of elevating local and regional perspectives—an essential pillar of all IFAC Connect events.
