For IOSCO World Investor Week 2026, IFAC’s new video, “What Accountants Can Teach Every Investor,” explores how an accounting mindset can make anyone a more informed investor. Three members of IFAC’s Young Leaders Collective, Mohammad Kheder, Rita Bou Ghazali, and Supekshya Neupane, share how their accounting backgrounds influence the way they approach investing, while experts explore what investors can learn from documents such as annual reports—and why those reports can reveal things that a headline or share price cannot.

The video also looks at why financial and investment literacy matters from an early age. Economics educator Mitchell Pinda discusses helping young people understand investing and become more financially responsible, reinforcing a simple idea: better information can lead to better decisions.
