Faris AlSaadi became the technical advisor for Abdullah Al-Mehthil in May 2025. He was nominated by Saudi Ministry of Finance with the support of National Standards Committee.
Mr. AlSaadi is the general manager of Financial Reporting and Statistics since March 2023 at the Ministry of Finance, Saudi Arabia. Faris oversees preparation, review, and publication of the Kingdom’s central government consolidated financial statements. He drives – along with other teams - enhancements to reporting frameworks, ensuring compliance with IPSAS convergence efforts, and suggesting policy formulation for standalone financial statements across governmental entities. In addition to the aforementioned, he manages Saudi Arabia’s unified chart of accounts as well as designs and implements process controls to improve data integrity, timeliness, and transparency of fiscal statistics.
Mr. AlSaadi holds a master's degree in accounting and Information Systems and a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Southern Illinois University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the US and Certified Public Accountant in Saudi Arabia.
