RIMS, the risk management society, is a global not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing the practice of risk management. IFAC collaborates with RIMS in risk management, for example, on the Risk Management Global Alignment Advisory Group, which seeks to promote understanding of commonalities and differences between various risk management guidelines. Both organizations also participate in the revision of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Standard 31000:2009—Risk Management and the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO) project to update its Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Integrated Framework (2004).

Annually, RIMS conducts a survey on how organizations apply risk management to improve business results and support strategic initiatives, along with the insurance broking and risk management firm Marsh (results from previous surveys are available online).

To expand the perspectives captured in the survey, RIMS has reached out to the IFAC constituency to participate in the 12th edition of the annual Excellence in Risk Management survey. As risk management is important to professional accountants, they want to hear your opinions and thoughts on today’s risk management trends.

By taking part in this survey, you will help increase the understanding of the practice of risk management. The survey will take approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete. Respondents will receive a copy of the survey results.

IFAC, and RIMS and Marsh, would appreciate your response by February 20.
