On December 4, 2025, accounting leaders from across the Asia-Pacific region convened in Jakarta, Indonesia for IFAC Connect ASIAPAC 2025, an invitation‑only gathering held in partnership with the Institute of Indonesia Chartered Accountants (IAI). The event coincided with IAI’s 68th anniversary, underscoring Indonesia’s growing leadership in advancing transparency, accountability, and sustainable growth throughout the region.

Part of the global IFAC Connect series, this year’s AsiaPac meeting brought together senior representatives from professional accountancy organizations, global and regional standard setters, regulators, major firms, and investor communities to explore how the profession can respond to rapid global disruption. Sessions throughout the day examined enhanced corporate reporting, talent development, qualification modernization, women’s leadership, regional collaboration, and the profession’s emerging role in AI assurance and ethical oversight—aligning global standards with regional implementation needs.
