Accountants need to focus on building competencies, says Mark Koziel, Executive Vice President, Firm Services, American Institute of CPAs. “Nano-learning” and individualized learning plans will more effectively educate accountants in the near future, and focus needs to shift from classes, credits, and hours to ensuring competencies.
