The International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants^® (IESBA^®) has issued an Exposure Draft titled: Proposed Revisions to the Non-Assurance Services Provisions of the Code.

The ED is aimed at strengthening the non-assurance services (NAS) related independence provisions of the International Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants (including International Independence Standards) (the Code). 

The Exposure Draft, Conforming Amendments to the IAASB’s International Standards as a Result of the Revised IESBA Code, proposes limited amendments to the IAASB’s International Standards in response to the revised International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants’ International Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants (including International Independence Standards) (IESBA Code).

Exposure Draft 69, Public Sector Specific Financial Instruments, Amendments to IPSAS 41, Financial Instruments provides guidance on how to account for a number of important categories of financial instruments that are unique to the public sector.

The proposed new Standard will augment existing guidance in IPSAS 41, Financial Instruments, and improves that Standard’s requirements by introducing guidance on:

ED 68, Improvements to IPSAS, 2019, was approved by the International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (IPSASB) in June 2019. ED 68 proposes minor Improvements to IPSAS in order to address issues raised by stakeholders. The proposals in this Exposure Draft may be modified in light of comments received before being issued in final form.
