Atsushi Tomono

Atsushi Tomono is a Partner at KPMG AZSA LLC in Tokyo and brings more than twenty years of professional experience in auditing, including PCAOB audit engagements for major financial institutions. Within KPMG AZSA, Mr. Tomono leads a dedicated function that supports engagement teams in complying with independence requirements under the ethics code and contributes to strengthening the firm’s overall system of quality management.

In addition to his responsibilities at the firm, Mr. Tomono is a member of the JICPA Ethics standards Committee including its working group, where he is involved in responding to the consultations on ethics matters from JICPA members and activities related to the drafting of the Code of Ethics.

Mr. Tomono holds a Bachelor’s degree from Hitotsubashi University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (Japan) and a CFA charterholder.
