Husnain R. Badami is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and a leader in accountancy education, learning innovation, and professional capability development, with over 18 years of experience across Pakistan and the GCC. He began his career at Ernst & Young in Pakistan and the Middle East before transitioning into entrepreneurship; he co-founded one of Pakistan's first fully online accountancy education platform, winning best EdTech start-up award twice in 2019 and 2021. Currently, he is working as a Partner, People & AI Consulting for Virtuous BPO - a cross-border advisory firm working across the GCC and North American markets.

As a recognised practitioner in experiential and game-based learning, Husnain has designed over 250 hours of simulation-based learning for senior professionals and taught more than 5,000 students and professionals globally. He has published research on experiential and critical pedagogy in Columbia University's Current Issues in Comparative Education.

At ICAP, he served on the Council and as Vice President (2022–2023), youngest to hold the office, contributing to the New Education Scheme 2025, CPD engagement, and strengthening institutional governance. He also represents ICAP on SAFA's Education and CPD Committee. He is a member of the panel since 2022 and actively contributed to the revision of International Education Standards (IES 2,3,4, 6) and in various working groups involving AI and Human Capability.

In addition to his CA, Husnain brings interdisciplinary thinking to the panel with his diverse academic background, including Philosophy (Masters) and Development Studies (MS). He advocates for accountancy education that is capability-focused, contextually grounded, and fit for a technology-shaped profession.
