Dr. Jan Taylor joined IFAC's International Panel on Accounting Education in January 2023, nominated by AICPA & CIMA. She has served on the Attractiveness of the Profession and the IES 8 Innovation Teams, and chairs the Behavioral Competencies Innovation Team.

Jan currently serves as Senior Director - Academic in Residence at AICPA & CIMA. Previously, she served on faculty at Sam Houston State University, where she was Chair of the Graduate Accounting Program, University of San Diego, and University of Houston-Clear Lake.

Jan has served as the President of the International Board of Directors of Beta Alpha Psi and is a Court Appointed Special Advocate for children in protective custody in the state of Texas.

Jan has received many awards throughout her career, including the Lifetime Service Award and the President's Award from Beta Alpha Psi, and the Outstanding Educator of the Year Award from both the Texas Society of CPAs and the American Society of Women CPAs. She has published several articles in academic and practitioner journals.

Jan earned a PhD from University of San Diego, and both an MBA and BS in Accounting from University of Houston - Clear Lake. Jan is a licensed CPA in Texas and a CGMA. She is a member of the Texas Society of CPAs and the AICPA.
