Mr. Sato became Chief Executive of the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (JICPA) in April 2020. He is also currently a member of several project task forces at the JICPA and sits on the advisory board of the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation.

Mr. Sato has more than 25 years of experience in finance and accounting. He was Finance Director of Richemont Japan Ltd. (Japanese subsidiary of Switzerland-based luxury goods holding group) for more than six years, in charge of various functions such as finance, accounting, internal control, business administration and security, after spending 8 years of international working experiences in the United States of America, the Swiss Confederation and the People's Republic of China.

Mr. Sato is a Japanese Certified Public Accountant. He also holds a degree in economics from Tokyo University.
