Lindie Engelbrecht, CA(SA) is a seasoned governance and advocacy leader with over 20 years of executive experience across the accountancy profession, public policy, and global sustainability initiatives. She has served as CEO of the Institute of Directors in southern Africa (IoDSA), executive director at the South African Institute for Chartered Accountants, director for members and education for the Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy (CIPFA) and EY regulatory and public policy leader for Africa. Lindie has played a pivotal role in shaping corporate governance in South Africa (King III, IV and V), strengthening PAOs, and influencing policy frameworks related to ESG, integrated reporting, and public sector reform.
