Adriana Spiridon
Adriana Spiridon has served as Head of the Admission, Professional Development and Trainees Department at the Chamber of Financial Auditors of Romania (CAFR) since 2018. In this role, she oversees two core professional activities delegated to CAFR by Romania’s Public Interest Oversight Board (PIOB): the annual continuing professional development (CPD) programme for financial auditors, and the professional competence examination required for qualification as a statutory auditor.
She is also a member of the Professional Accountancy Education Europe (PAEE) Steering Group, where she contributes to advancing the harmonization of professional accountancy education across Europe. As a member of the PAEE Visibility Task Force, she supports the development of the organization’s communication strategy and initiatives aimed at strengthening its visibility, recognition, and public profile.
Before assuming her current position, Adriana led CAFR’s International Relations Department (2010–2013) after serving as International Relations Officer (2008–2010). Between 2015 and 2016, she worked as Customer Relations Manager for a U.S.-based foreign language school.
A certified translator by profession, Adriana holds a degree from the University of Bucharest, a Master's degree in Specialized Translation and Terminology Studies, and an International Relations Specialist Certificate awarded by the Romanian Diplomatic Institute. Throughout her career at CAFR, she has coordinated and contributed to the translation of key international standards issued by the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), including several editions of the IAASB and IESBA Handbooks.
