Linda Lach

Title: Director, Governance

Linda A. Lach was named Director, Strategy and Development, in 2015. Since joining IFAC in 2010, Ms. Lach has served as a Senior Manager and a Deputy Director. In her current role, Ms. Lach leads IFAC’s work to strengthen the global accountancy profession by facilitating professional accountancy organization (PAO) capacity building in emerging economies. She is responsible for the program management, implementation, and governance of IFAC’s PAO Capacity Building Program funded by the UK Department for International Development. She also works with the IFAC PAO Development Committee.

Ms. Lach’s other responsibilities include the development of IFAC’s strategic plan in consultation with key stakeholders.

Before joining IFAC, Ms. Lach was a contributing author on numerous accounting publications for Practitioner’s Publishing Company and served as the Associate Director of the Center for Financial Integrity at Baruch College. Ms. Lach also was the Director of Professional Development for the American Institute of CPAs, where she was responsible for conferences, seminars, and self-study professional development courses for accounting professionals. Her previous experience also includes audit and financial management positions.

Ms. Lach graduated cum laude from Yale University with a bachelor’s degree in economics and holds a master’s degree in accounting from New York University. She is licensed as a CPA in the state of New York and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs.
